Who's got time for a 10 Step skincare routine?

Who's got time for a 10 Step skincare routine?

Hey lovely friends!

I thought I’d come here and share my skincare routine because, honestly, the most basic step to maintaining healthy skin is a consistent routine. One thing you might find surprising is that I’m not a believer in the 10-step skincare routine. I genuinely think it’s not natural to bombard your skin with several products in a short space of time, and quite frankly, I believe it’s just a clever way to make extra £££.

I’m all about keeping it simple with high-quality natural products. I find this approach is the most effective way to achieve healthy, glowing skin. So, here’s my daily skincare routine to maintain healthy skin!

1. Cleanse Gently Twice a Day

I start and end my day with a gentle cleanse. A natural cleanser is my go-to, something with soothing ingredients like aloe vera or chamomile. It keeps my skin clean without stripping away those essential oils. This simple step balances my skin and preps it for everything that comes next.

2. Use a Natural Floral Water for Added Vitamin C

After cleansing, I love spritzing on some Moroccan Orange Blossom Water. Orange blossom water is packed with vitamin C and makes my skin feel so refreshed and bright. Just a few spritzes and my skin feels instantly hydrated and revitalised. Plus, it smells amazing!

3. Moisturise for Added Hydration

Hydration is a must for that soft, supple skin. I stick to natural moisturisers with goodies like shea butter or jojoba oil. These ingredients are super nourishing and lock in moisture all day long, keeping my skin soft and happy. I use any of my Asila's face oils or face creams, currently using the Argan, Prickly Pear & 24K Gold face oil.

4. Use SPF for Added Protection

SPF is non-negotiable for me! Natural sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide protect my skin from harmful UV rays without the nasties. Daily SPF keeps my skin safe from sun damage, preventing premature aging and protecting my future self. Trust me, it’s a skincare step you don’t want to skip!

5. Exfoliate Weekly to Remove Excess Dirt.

Exfoliation is such a game-changer. Once a week, I use a natural exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and any built-up dirt. Things like ground oats, sugar, or finely ground coffee work wonders without being harsh. This step leaves my skin super smooth and helps other products work even better.

6. Use a Face Mask Weekly to Remove Excess Oils

A weekly face mask is my mini spa moment at home. I love using natural clay masks like our Moroccan Ghassoul clay mask. They draw out impurities and absorb excess oils, leaving my skin feeling deeply cleansed and refreshed. Plus, it’s a perfect excuse for some me-time!

Switching to natural skincare has made such a difference for me. Not only is my skin healthier, but I also love knowing that I’m using gentle, eco-friendly products. These steps are simple, effective, and packed with natural goodness.

Stay glowing, stay beautiful, and always stay true to yourself!
